How to update Provisioning Server on VVX series phones.
This tutorial will guide you on how to update the provisioning server on VVX model phones.
First, click on the HOUSE button if you are on a VVX model. The House button is on the right hand side of the phone.
This is the Menu screen.
Using arrows bellow the Menu key navigate to the Settings icon and either press select under the display or using the select button in the middle of the arrow keys.
Using the arrow keys scroll down to the Advanced settings and press Select.
You will be asked for a password.
The default password could be 456, 3236 or 36983698
If you entered in the correct password, you will then be taken to the Settings menu.
Select Administration Settings or press 1 on the dial pad.
Select Network Configuration or press 1 on the dial pad.
Select Provisioning Server...
Then, select DHCP Menu.
On the Boot Server: hit Edit
Here, you will want to highlight Static and hit Select below.
You will be brought back to this screen, make sure it looks similar to this.if everything looks good press Back.
Next, hit the arrow down and select Server Type and hit Edit, select HTTP and press Select
Press arrow down to highlight Server Address and hit Edit
You can press the << button to erase current server address.
Using the dial pad you will have to spell prov.aplusvoip.net:8080
You can make the . with the * key and : with the # key.

if everything looks ok as above Hit Ok
Press the Back key twice and you will be asked to Save Config
Select Save Config and press Select
All set, your phone will reboot automatically and go through the new provisioning server. It might take up to 5 minutes for the phone to finish initializing and upgrading the software.
